I've been seeing more and more ads and articles about amber teething necklaces. Thoughts?

While I haven't personally used this method for teething (I wasn't aware of it 5 yrs ago when I had my 1st baby), I have worked with several of parents recently who used it while their child was teething. EVERY SINGLE ONE SWORE IT WORKED! And when I asked a mom one time what made her try it, she had what I felt was a very genuine and logical response: Why not? If it works than I have a great non-medication way to help my baby with teething. And if it doesn't work, I am simply out the money I paid for the necklace- at least my daughter looks "fashionable"! :) (She said the last park with a wink) ;)
So now I always list it as a suggestion for parents looking to explore ALL the options for teething relief. Every baby is different, sometime one technique will work for one and not another.
Just my opinion though! :)
