I had pretty much the same thing in my lunchbox everyday as a kid. Do you remember your school lunches?
I was thinking about the fancy lunches I try to make for my daughter (she is having sushi today). My lunches were not like that at all - I had a peanut butter and honey sandwich, a piece of fruit, cookie and a drink of water...pretty much every day - I don't remember being sad about that.
I am curious - what were your school lunches like?
