Small Changes Can Make a Difference

During the month of December, I made a trip to see my Primary Care Physician and he noticed that I put on quite a few pounds since I was last in to see him.  I managed to gain around 15 pounds in about a three month time frame, and he wanted to help me make a change in the right direction.  If your like me, I often put my own health on the back burner and tend to the kids.  I also struggle with chronic pain and depression which doesn't help the situation.  I agreed with the doctor and decided…See More

"This surgery is quick and painless.  It takes about 5 to 10 min.  Frequent ear infections can lead to hearing loss so I think it is best to put tubes in their ears."

Rascal Found the Toilet Paper and Made a Huge Mess

Rascal was still perched on the motion sensor when I went to bed last night and he seemed happy sitting up high watching the kids.  I didn’t hear him sneak out last night to head to the North Pole. The baby woke up around 1:30 early this morning and Rascal was no where to be found.  When I finally ready to go back to bed, Rascal was sneaking back into the house.  I told Rascal good night and that I would see him in the morning. Read more at…See More

Buckling your Child in Their Car Seat Correctly

My biggest pet peeve as a parent is seeing a child incorrectly buckled in their car seat.  A car seat is specially designed to protect an infant/toddler in the event that you are involved in a car accident. In order for the car seat to properly protect your child, the buckle needs to go across your child and should be even with their arm pits.  I will post an example below of my toddler incorrectly buckled and correctly buckled in his car seat.  The best way to determine if the car seat…

Tummy Time Can Prevent Your Newborn from Developing Plagiocephaly

he “Back to Sleep” campaign was introduced in the early 1990′s to help prevent babies from SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).  When a baby is born their heads are still soft and their skull will slowly harden over the next few months.

Find out why tummy time is important for your newborn, read more at Uplifting Families.

Rascal Got Locked in Doggy Jail

Rascal is a sneaky little Elf, he took off to the North Pole early last night.  He wanted to go back early so that he could visit Rudolf.  While sneaking, back into the house last night he found himself locked himself in the dog’s kennel.  I found him this morning, he looked so sad and scared while trying to get our attention to let him out of the kennel.

Find out my dog's reaction to Rascal invading her territory at…
