- My name is Voneen. I’m a Registered Nurse, a mother, designer and the creator behind Woolby & Co. I’ve decided to hand craft shoes made out of upcycled wool sweaters, cashmere, and leather jackets when my toddler had a difficult time walking and running in regular shoes and sneakers. He would trip every time he walked or went running, and they just seemed uncomfortable for him to wear. Therefore, because of my love for natural fibers, I experimented with different types of wool sweaters and leather jackets, until I made the perfect shoes that were right for him. He loves wearing his sweater boots with soft leather non-slip soles everywhere. He has never tripped while wearing them, and best of all; they are Eco-friendly and stays on his feet. These shoes are also perfect for my infant’s growing feet. I feel comfortable knowing that there will be no constrictions on his feet; they are flexible, soft, natural, and slip resistant. They are the perfect choice for minimalist footwear that is suitable for infants, kids, youth and adults.
