One of things people notice about my sons is that they are very OK with who they are. They don't have to be wearing the latest brands, they prefer to take a lunch which includes "weird" veggie foods their friends have never heard of, they don't compare themselves, they are more interested in how they measure up against what they set out to do...and most importantly, they almost seem immune to peer pressure.
First of all, I have to give God all the credit because it's an answered prayer…

The Jewish Passover holiday begins just over a month from now. In the next few weeks, moms across America, and all around the world will look for ways to enhance their Seder experience and have fun while doing so. Some people dress up like characters from the story of Exodus. Others create (or buy) "plague kits" to throw around the table when the Ten Plagues are being…

Toddlers and board books go together—both are durable, come in easy to handle packages, and are found in a variety of shapes and sizes. The main thing to keep in mind about reading with toddlers is that it has more to do with pointing and talking than with sitting still and listening.…

Would you like to get your child to do what you ask, the first time? Here are some helpful tips in disciplining your toddler or child.
Some children have a clear idea of what they want. They have what we call a 'compelling outcome'. In any situation, however seemingly trivial they know what they want the outcome to be. It may be to get a good mark, impress the teacher, surprise their friends, score a goal or something like that. They may think of it as something that they want to see…

It is not unusual for a child to wake up with bad breath, or halitosis. Throughout the day, saliva washes away unwanted food debris. As soon as a child falls asleep, saliva production decreases. Therefore, the longer a child sleeps, the more bacteria are produced in the mouth, causing bad breath. However, there are…

1. Focus on what you do want. Aim towards a compelling outcome and what you focus on is what you'll get.
2. Develop the ability to internally reference by constantly checking in with your own values and beliefs.
3. When making new friends pay attention to what you have in common and be curious about areas of difference.
4. What you wear, how you wear it, how you stand or sit, all create a lasting first impression. Decide what you want the impression to be and check it…

After losing my mom the week I found out I was pregnant, there are so many things that I would love to ask her about raising children. She was an unbelievable mom who couldn't wait to be a grandmother and I, being the tomboy who always had too many irons in the fire, looked forward to slowing down and learning from the best about how to raise my kids.
After having my son, there were a few (hundred) realizations and unexpected "trials" that I learned would be a little more difficult…

Have you ever wondered why it is that when another parent is telling their child off or you see a child misbehaving you don’t get stressed by it; indeed you may hardly notice it.
